Egypt’s Agricultural Exports Hit a New Record, Reaching 7.5 Million Tonnes 🌾

Egypt’s agricultural exports have achieved a new milestone in 2025, as the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced that total exports have reached around 7.5 million tonnes since the beginning of the year — a record figure that reflects the high quality of Egyptian products and the growing global demand for them.

In his statement to Daily News Egypt, the minister explained that citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, strawberries, pomegranates, and garlic topped the list of agricultural exports this year. He also confirmed that the ministry continues its efforts to open new markets for Egyptian products across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The minister noted that the success of the export quality control system has strengthened international confidence in Egyptian products, thanks to strict adherence to phytosanitary standards and the electronic traceability system, which ensures that all exported goods meet the highest international quality standards.

He added that the ministry’s plan aims to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian agricultural exports by supporting farmers and exporters, developing agricultural infrastructure, and improving value chains — all to consolidate Egypt’s position as a leading exporter of high-quality agricultural produce to markets around the world.
